The most popular movies are the kinds of japanese movies that are popular in the rest of the world, for example, "Ringu"or "Zatoichi". Another important gender in Chile is ANIME; you'll surprise how popular it's in our kids and youth.Everybody know and loves "Dragon Ball", even in these days.
There are many japanese directors that are recognized, like Kitano, Kurosawa, Miyasaki,etc.
